Hauwa Adamu, a 38-year-old woman, has been arrested by The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Borno State for burning the private part of her 7-year-old step daughter with flaming charcoal.
This was revealed to newsmen by the NSCDC Commandant, Mr Abdullahi Ibrahim on Wednesday in Maiduguri where he also disclosed that the woman was arrested in Moduganari Area of Maiduguri. The case was reported to the command by good Samaritans.
Adamu allegedly meted out horrible acts of punishment on the minor, over what she called disobedience. Evidence showed that the little girl had been subjected to different forms of abuse.

The little girl was put under Adam’s care due to the separation of her parents.
He added that the case had been transferred to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, for further investigation and action
