Following the purchase of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, Juventus are set to offload star striker, Gonzalo Higuain and in the process also bring back defender, Leonardo Bonucci.
Bonucci went to AC Milan last season after falling out with coach Max Allegri, but it seems the two are now ready to work together again
Gonzalo Higuain meanwhile, will move to Milan in a loan deal worth €18 million (£16m/$21m)
Milan will also be getting defender Mattia Caldara from Juventus in a swap deal that sees Bonucci going the other way.
Higuain could make his AC Milan move permanent if they exercise their option to buy him at the end of the season for €36m (£32m/$42m).
The swap deal between Milan and Juventus for Bonucci and Caldara is due to the fact that both clubs value the two players at around the same range €35m (£31m/$40.8m)
Caldara, incidentally, was only purchased by Juventus from Atalanta last month and had even featured in the ICC for the Bianconeri before his move to AC Milan.
The duo will now return from the U.S. to complete their moves to Milan.
Juventus initially wanted to insert a buy-back clause for Caldara, but that did not come to fruition and they had to drop the demand during negotiations.
Higuain had no such issues and his move means that he would not be teaming up with Cristiano Ronaldo after the two were teammates at Real Madrid.
