The Minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed has advised journalists in cities affected by the lockdown to always hold their ID cards as this would act as their pass during the period.
The Minister advised journalists as well as media Staff in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja to hold their ID cards to gain access to their place of work and assignment during the lockdown period.

Issuing a statement regarding measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country, Lai Mohammed said the clarification had become necessary because the time was too short to provide accreditation for every Journalist in the affected states.
He reiterated that journalists and Media personnel are expected to carry out essential services during the lockdown period so that Nigerians will be properly updated on the situation of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
