Legendary five-time World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Evander Holyfield, 54 has arrived Lagos for the “Rhumbles in Lagos’’ match between him and former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 65.
Holyfield, who is billed to slug it out with former Lagos State Governor and National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at an exhibition boxing match, is in Lagos as part of activities marking the Golden Jubilee anniversary of the State, and to also give back to the society through his foundation.
Holyfield was received by Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at Lagos House, Ikeja.
The match, which will hold on May 25, 2017, at the Eko Atlantic City, is part of activities marking the Golden Jubilee anniversary of the State.
The match is also another way Holyfield is giving back to the society through his foundation and will be beamed live to the world.
The match will be refereed by Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka.
