Hoodlums Set Church, Police Post On Fire In Lagos

There is chaos in Makoko area of Lagos after some hoodlums attacked a church and police post in the area, setting them ablaze.

According to reports, the hoodlums attacked The Acts of Apostles Church, located on Church street, Ori-Oke-Oko Baba, Makoko around 2pm today, which caused the church members to flee to a nearby police post.

The hoodlums, whose motive could not be immediately determined, then set the church on fire.

Policemen from the post were said to have been dispatched to the scene to restore law and order.

But reports had it that the hoodlums then proceeded to the police post that the church members fled to and set it ablaze also.

One unidentified person was said to have been left critically injured in the fracas.

Some youths in the church were said to have mobilised and confronted the hoodlums, leading to an escalation of the crisis.
