Horrific Train Wreck Leaves Six Dead And Several Injured On Maiden Journey

Horrific scenes came out of Washington yesterday after a train carrying 78 passengers and five crew members derailed and crashed.

The Amtrak train was heading to Portland on Monday Morning when it derailed while crossing a bridge over Interstate 5 near DuPont, Washington.

At least six people are reported to be dead and 77 injured.

The train was also incidentally making its first run on a new route that linked Portland and Seattle.

It left Seattle at 6am Monday Morning and was scheduled to arrive in Portland 3 ½ hours later before it was believed to have hit something on the rails before it derailed.

Several Cars were struck by the train wreck but no motorist was killed.
