A Nigerian man living in the United States earlier this week fatally shot his girlfriend before turning the gun on himself.
Mohammadu S. Igomigoh, 49, who was a security guard, fatally shot Nnenna L. Ogbonna, 44, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LFN) on Tuesday.
It was gathered that the duo had two children together before going their separate ways.
However, they both lived in Baltimore County, in the state of Maryland, where the incident occurred.
Igomigoh lived in the 300 block of Shagbark Road; Ogbonna lived in the 700 block of Northrup Lane, where the shooting happened, police said.
Police said Igomigoh visited Ogbonna’s home and an argument ensued between them over finances.
While the reason behind the argument could not be immediately verified, it was learnt that Ogbonna reported him to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) over a tax infraction.
As a security guard, Igomigoh used a weapon which was legally registered to him to carry out the shooting.
