Endurance Enadeba has been arrested by the Edo State police command over the murder of his 17 year old wife, Osarumwense. The man is said to have killed his wife because she did not breastfeed the 1 week old twins at the time he instructed her to do so. Osarumwense is said to have told him she wanted to urinate first before feeding the twins. This angered the man and he hot her on the head with an object.
The victim later died from blunt force trauma. Father of the victim, Eghenayayore, was inconsolable upon hearing the news. He had first been called by his daughter before she died. He said the christening of the babies was supposed to take place yesterday.
He said, “He killed my daughter because of breastfeeding the twins. The twins are at home now, who will give them breast milk? Why did he kill my young daughter? This girl was born in 1996. We were preparing to name the babies tomorrow. Those are their first children.”
