Since US President, Donald Trump announced that he had been taking Hydroxylchloroquine with a combination of Zinc as a preventive measure for the Coronavirus, the mainstream media as well as the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared a war on the anti-malarial drug as well as the US President.
While independent studies and medical personnel experience have indeed shown that Hydroxychloroquine combined with Zinc has proved to be an effective treatment for Coronavirus especially during early stages.
The WHO decided to rely on a non-randomised study in the Lancet to discontinue clinical trials for the malaria drug citing that it did not have any benefits for hospitalised COVID-19 patients and would lead to an increased death rate.
Asides from the fact that the study only studied the effects of Hydroxylchloroquine instead of its combination with Zinc, the WHO ignored evidence from countries like Nigeria, India, France, Italy and China who have successfully used the combination to great effect in their fight against the virus.

Medical experts so far have agreed that for Hydroxylchloroquine to have efficacy in the treatment of COVID-19, it must be combined with Zinc.
Zinc is an over the counter supplement that is used to develop the immune system or anti-bodies that help the body fight viral infections effectively.
According to American Infectious Disease expert, Joseph Rahimian, Zinc is the main drug that attacks the COVID-19 pathogen in the body, Hydroxychloroquine only acts as a transport system that speeds up the process.
While the WHO and France discontinued Hydroxylchloroquine solidarity trials, countries like Nigeria, and Senegal announced that their clinical trials with the combination will continue while India announced the expanded use of the drug as a preventive treatment for key workers after having carried out three successful trials.
Meanwhile the mainstream media alongside the WHO and China continued to bash Donald Trump, saying he was putting people in danger and spreading fake news.
With the WHO ignoring positive news on the use of Hydroxychloroquine and zinc and choosing to focus on a few backwater publications, it would seem like WHO’S war against the malaria drug is more political than health related.
In this ongoing war, here are a few things the mainstream media have conviniently refused to tell you in its blind war against the Malaria medicine.
- Hydroxylchloroquine is a safe anti-malarial drug that has been around for decades. It is also useful in the treatment of other health conditions like arthritis and lupus. Even the BBC acknowledged this.
- Many Doctors use the drug as preventive medicine. In the United States where the authorities refuse to officially recommend the drug as a possible treatment, doctors are using it for family members as well as a few patients with positive results. A recent survey discovered that 65% of US doctors would recommend Hydroxylchloroquine to family members. Going by this, the UK is also carrying out studies to discover if the Malaria drug is useful in preventing Coronavirus.
- Doctors in France, Italy and Spain use the drug as a preventive measure as well as treatment for COVID-19 patients with outstanding success. Turkey, Costa Rica, Bahrain, Algeria and Belgium have also recorded success in the use of the drug. According to a report by a Shanghai based Doctor, the combined use of Hydroxychloroquine, Zinc and Azithmromycin was the game changer in the fight against the virus.
- While the mainstream media and the Democrats continued to bash Donald Trump, Many prominent Americans have been taking Hydroxylchloroquine and zinc to treat COVID-19 with success too. Bon Jovi’s keyboardist, Hall of fame Rockstar, David Bryan, tested positive for the virus and was treated with Hydroxychloroquine as well as a combination of other drugs. By April he had recovered from the disease. Amy Klobuchar, former Democrat Presidential hopeful, also admitted that her husband was treated with the Malaria drug after he contracted coronavirus.
Asides from these facts mainstream media refused to reveal, it is a known fact that major news networks always have a bias when it comes to reporting on Pharmaceuticals; mainly due to political and financial interests.
According to a political commentator, Scott Adams, CNN should have known that Hydroxychloroquine causes heart problems for people who already have heart issues. In this case mostly elderly people. He also pointed out this was the reason for the increased deaths reported by the Lancet.
‘What they don’t do on CNN is mention that if you don’t test it with the zinc [then] I’m not sure that you’ve really tested the thing that has the most promise. Where is that [test]?’ he asked cynically.
According to Dr. Anthony Cardillo, an emergency physician in California who appeared on a local television interview;
“HCQ really only works in conjunction with zinc. Every patient I have prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within eight to twelve hours they were basically symptom-free and so clinically I am seeing a resolution.“
This is further backed up by a study published by the New York University, Grossman School of Medicine. The study discovered that individuals on Hydroxychloroquine, Zinc and Azithmromycin were less 44% less likely to die from Coronavirus than individuals who take the combination without zinc. In effect, zinc is the key ingredient in the antidote against the virus.
“This study provides the first in vivo evidence that zinc sulfate in combination with hydroxychloroquine may play a role in therapeutic management for Covid-19.” The study notes.
Which this, one can conveniently say when the mainstream media say President Trump’s recommendation is killing people, It is simply a lie.
It would instead seem like the panic against the Drug being generated by CNN and Fox news is the usual bash everything that comes from Donald Trump strategy they have employed since he was sworn in as President of the United States almost Four years ago.
