Arsenal striker Lacazette has stated that what he brings to the team is different from the current skillset of the players available.
The frenchman has come off the bench in each of Arsenal’s first three games of the season and he has in all occasions brought about a marked effect.
He was most effective against West Ham, coming off the bench to instigate the Gunners’ second goal.
There have been calls for Lacazette to start alongside Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, but Unai Emery has urged patience with this, preferring to first get a handle on his midfield before fielding the two strikers from the start.
Following Arsenal’s win against West Ham which was far from convincing, Lacazette said that he was sure he could help the team.
“I knew I could help the team.” he said
“What I do is different to everyone else. I just want to play and help my team all the time.
“When you come off the bench you have to be ready for your team-mates, it is what I tried to do and obviously it helped us to get the win.”

Lacazette came from Lyon last season and while he score 17 goals in all competitions, there was a feeling that he hadn’t quite done enough. He is raring to go and it is believed that a partnership with Aubameyang can be a fruitful one.
“The manager just told me to play my game and said we will win if I play well.
“There is a lot of difference under the new manager.” he said of Unai Emery
“You can’t really compare the two coaches – they are their own men when it comes to football.
“Even if the aim is still to play and hurt the opposition with the ball, there are some big differences.”
Arsenal play Cardiff city next and hope they can get another win.
