Former Argentina coach, Diego Maradona, is in the news again. This time, he blasted Messi’s Argentina squad.
Argentina had played a friendly match against Venezuela during the weekend and lost 3 goals to 1.
Argentine striker, Lautaro Martinez hit the net once. However, goals from Venezuelan players: Salmon Rondon, Jhon Murillo, and Josef Martinez took the match beyond reach for the Argentines.
The defeat was not expected by fans, and when asked whether he saw the game, Maradona stated, “The inept people who will govern the national team, did they think they were going to beat Venezuela? They are a good team.
“Argentina entered through the window, not even through the door because they betray and lie to people all the time. I’m sorry but they won’t win games.
“I feel very Argentine but I feel with other coaches and players like Ruggeri, Batista, Giusti, Pumpido, Caniggia it would be different.
“This team don’t deserve the shirt. They don’t have a clue and I’m sorry for the people of Argentina who continue to believe these liars and for the players who have to put up with it.”
