Linda Ayade, the First Lady of Cross River State, is a year older today and her husband, Ben Ayade, has taken to social media to gush over her.

In a Facebook post, the Cross River governor described his beautiful wife as “such a rare gem” and “a good friend”, while thanking God for bringing her into his life.

Sharing a photo of himself and the celebrant, Ayade further described her as a “prayer warrior, our spiritual head and pillar of the family”.

The governor had disclosed in 2016 that he married his wife a virgin.

“Today is my wife’s birthday.

“I want to celebrate with her and thank God for her life.

“I want to also thank God for my life for giving me the opportunity to marry such a rare gem.

“A woman with a wonderful heart, very patient and tolerant.

“My wife is such an understanding person, she is my good friend indeed.

“She is a prayer warrior, our spiritual head and pillar of the family.

“My wish for her is to continue to stay strong, young, pretty, healthy and happy.

“She has brought happiness, progress, success and good tidings to my family.

“23 years of marriage without one day of a misunderstanding. It is a very perfect union and I am very proud and happy that I made the choice of her as my wife. In my next lifetime she will yet again be my wife. I wish her long life, prosperity, to live and see her grand children and great great grand children.

“I love her! Happy birthday wife of a lion, darling Linda Ungie Kijimini,” the appreciative husband wrote.
