Arsene Wenger has said that Arsenal would have been better off had he been able to sign Cristiano Ronaldo to the club.
He said in an interview, “I nearly signed Ronaldo and I think that would have changed the history of Arsenal FC.
“The Ronaldo story was very, very close.”
Wenger believes that there is a bright future for Arsenal but also stated that any new manager at the club should bring in fresh legs to enable Arsenal compete better.
