The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has disclosed that he sacked members of his cabinet because they did not know how to play politics.

Mohammed revealed this in Zaki Local Government Area of the state while launching his empowerment programme to mark this year’s Democracy Day.

The Herald had reported that Mohammed sacked the Secretary to the State Government, his Chief of Staff, 21 commissioners, and others on Wednesday.

The Bauchi governor explained that dissolving his cabinet would enable him to bring in new hands that were more politically inclined.

However, he said that the cabinet was not dissolved because of non-performance.

Mohammed said it was because he found it necessary to give others the opportunity to serve the people of Bauchi, especially those who were deeply rooted in politics.

“Those that I stopped, they don’t know how to play politics and I cannot work with those type of people.

“I just have to get others, real politicians that can do the job together with me and bring out Bauchi from deadlock,” Mohammed said.
