Veteran Nollywood actor Tito Harrison has shared a heartbreaking account of his health crisis, revealing how a battle with liver disease and chronic ulcers left him financially and emotionally drained.
Speaking during an interview on Biola Bayo’s podcast, Harrison disclosed that his condition forced him to sell his house, cars, and personal belongings to afford treatment. He eventually had to move in with his mother-in-law after being unable to keep up with rent payments.
“In the darkest time of my life, my wife stood by me when everybody else left,” he said. “It is good to have a good wife. I sold my house, car, and everything I had to pay hospital bills. After moving to a rented house, I couldn’t afford the rent again, so we had to stay at my mother-in-law’s place. If I come to this world again, it is my wife I will marry.”

Harrison also expressed disappointment with some of his colleagues in the movie industry who, instead of offering support, mocked his struggles in public.
“There was a time they interviewed someone, and he said, ‘Tito Harrison is finished. He’s now living in his wife’s mother’s house.’ I have the publication. Even if it’s true, must you say it? If you can’t support me, don’t vilify me or destroy my reputation,” he added.
