“I took bleaching Injections to get roles in Nigerian movies”- Ella Mensah

Fairly popular actress, Ella Mensah has made some interesting revelations about the extent she went in a bid to get regular acting gigs in Nollywood movies.

The Ghana-born lady explained that she had to bleach her skin to achieve her desires in the industry.

Ella made this known via an Instagram post made by Delay Ghana. She further mentioned that she did not use any kind of cream to bleach, rather she took Injections and she owed no one an explanation for her decision.

According to her, she spent a total of £2,000 to get the complexion she currently has. And since the time she became light skinned, her popularity has grown in the movie industry.

Ella stated, “I don’t use cream to bleach my skin, I took an injection.

’I thought about it and it is my own skin and thank God I am not going to hurt or kill anybody. So I did it because I love it and also partly because of my job.”

In an interview she earlier had on Zylofon FM, the actress explained that many Nigerian movie producers and directors are fond of selecting light skinned ladies for roles because they consider them as being more good-looking.

‘”If you are a dark-skinned person, your talent alone is not going to push you up because a producer once told me that I have the height, the body and that I look attractive, “ she said.
