I Won’t Watch Chelsea’s Match Against Stoke – Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has disclosed he may not watch the match against Stoke City after he rejected a chance to appeal his one-game stadium ban.

He said in an interview with reporters on Friday he will be travelling with the team to the Britannia stadium but will then leave the players in the hands of his assistants.

The Portuguese said that he hasn’t made up his mind where to watch the match.

“I have no plans, maybe I sit in street corner with my iPad, I don’t know,” he said. “If I cannot contact with the game maybe I don’t even watch the game. I can’t contact with the game so what’s the point? Live score, results, maybe.”

He also denied assertions that Chelsea will be seeking revenge against Stoke, a team that knocked the blues out of the League Cup on penalties in October.

“Revenge for what? What’s the problem? Why? We played a good game, people were nice to us, our supporters were fantastic, no problems between supporters, a great football match, a good referee, a good show for everyone.

“One team scores one more penalty, one team left happy, one team left unhappy, everything was normal, revenge for what?” he noted.

Mourinho is serving a one-match stadium ban for confronting referee Jonathan Moss in Chelsea’s defeat by West Ham last month.

The Blues are stuck to the 15th spot on the league table after 11 games with 11 points, and will be looking to improve their fortunes in the game against 13th-place Stoke City.
