Ibori says Okowa will complete his two terms as Delta governor

Former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori yesterday declared that the present governor of the State, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa would complete an eight-year tenure in the State.

Ibori stated this during the solidarity rally organized in his honour by the Delta Central Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party at Oghara, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

While noting that one good turn deserved another, Ibori stated that Delta North in the time past supported Delta Central and Delta South to serve eight years tenure each.

He stressed that the principles of equity, justice and good conscience demanded that the Urhobos of Delta Central must support Okowa and Delta North to complete their two tenures of eight years so as to enable Urhobo enjoy Delta North support in 2023.

Ibori also stated that the quality results of consolidated politics will be visible for all Deltans to see in 2019, urging PDP members and supporters to rekindle their enthusiasm and hope.

“I am still resting and watching the moment. You shouldn’t worry, don’t panic, there is no trouble.

“After my rest, we will see. People have said a lot of things. There is no fear, the day of reckoning in politics is coming.

“I assure you, I will not disappoint you. Que behind Okowa so that Delta North can complete its eight year tenure”, he said.

Ibori also enjoined PDP faithfuls to ignore cheap blackmail and empty political propaganda embarked upon by some frustrated poliical mediocres who were parading themselves as the new messiah of the people.
