Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has come for a journalist who asked him for proof of his assertion that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo ordered penultimate Tuesday’s invasion of the National Assembly complex by the Department of State Services (DSS).

The ex-minister had on Saturday morning appeared on “The Weekend Show” hosted by Osasu Igbinedion on African Independent Television (AIT).

During the course of the show, the anchor had asked Fani-Kayode to substantiate his claim that Osinbajo ordered the invasion.

But Fani-Kayode, who appeared angered by the question, took to his Twitter handle on Sunday morning to vent his displeasure with it.

He said, “The beautiful young lady that interviewed me on AIT’s @WeekendShowNG yesterday asked whether I had any proof that Osinbajo ordered the invasion of NASS. I responded by saying that it was a logical deduction to make and I asked her whether she had any proof that he did not.

“I almost added that, being a well-bred lass, it was a logical deduction for me to make that she was wearing knickers even though I have no proof unless she was prepared to raise her skirt before the cameras. I didn’t want to embarrass her so I dropped the idea. @WeekendShowNG”

Fani-Kayode, a former Culture Minister, is a known critic of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari.

He is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) under the present administration on corruption-related allegations.

Fani-Kayode, who was the Director of Media for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign in 2015, has been accused of collecting N800 million from former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd).

He has strongly denied any wrongdoing.

He recently vowed not to appear on any recorded Nigerian television show after a programme on which he was interviewed by Channels Television was not broadcast.
