Exactly two weeks ago, on 5th December, I wrote the Part 1 of this series.

If indeed I were the President, I would get a small committee of five persons headed by the Chief of Staff to draw up an agenda for a 10-day Ministerial Retreat to mark out the activities of this administration from mid-January 2021 to mid-December 2022.

The focus of the retreat is not to solve all Nigeria’s problems but rather to solve some, put some in check and prevent further decline, improve on some, while ameliorating others.

The whole purpose will be to re invigorate the administration and try to improve the quality of life of the average Nigerians.
CHALLENGES THAT WILL BE INCLUDED IN THESE CONSUDERATIONS.

1. INSECURITY
a. Boko Haram
b. Banditry
c. Kidnapping
e. Armed Robbery
f. Cultism
2. Economic Downturn and galloping inflation.
3. Youth unemployment.
4. Power
5. A workable agenda for Political
Restructuring.
6. Enthronement of the Rule of law in
7. Institutional Reforms.
a. Police
b. Electoral

It is true the problems of this nation are myriads but those listed above are major and if seriously attended to over the next 24 months will improve the socio economic, political wellbeing and the overall welfare of the Nigerian citizens.
