Igbinedion University holds 18th matriculation

The Igbinedion University, Okada (IUO) in Edo on Saturday held its 18th matriculation for the newly admitted students into its 2016/2017academic programmes on its campus.

Its Vice-Chancellor,Prof. Eghosa Osaghae, congratulated the matriculating students and urged them to work hard as students of the university.

Osaghae said that the students were the drivers the world was waiting to introduce innovation to the society.

According to him, “Every parent who bring his or child to the university has a role to play by monitoring the child’s attitude whenever he or she is on holiday.

“The institution has zero tolerance to drug abuse, any student or group of students found wanting will be sanctioned accordingly by the university laws.

“I want you all to be decent and shun evil doing such as cultism, drug abuse and immoral activities,” he said.

Some of the matriculating students thanked God for the privilege given them by the institution and promised to be law abiding. (NAN)
