‘Wounded’ Shekau releases New Video, Claims he’s In Good Health

To counter the claim of the Nigerian Army that the dreaded former leader of the Boko Haram Sect Abubakar Shekau has been seriously wounded or even killed in an air raid, Shekau has released new video stating that he’s in good health.

The controversial leader of Boko haram said in the new video that he is still strong and healthy.

“Oh tyrants, I’m in a happy state, in good health and in safety,” Shekau said in new video uploaded on YouTube

In the 40-minute video, Shekau who spoke in three different languages of Hausa, Kanuri and Arabic and he looked healthy.

The BBC report claimed that the authenticity of the video is unclear because the time of the recording is not clear and it could have been manipulated somehow.

Shekau also refuted claims that he had been dethroned as the leader of Boko Haram stating that he was still in charge.

Earlier this month, Shekau was replaced as the leader of Boko Haram by another fundamentalist known as Abu Musa Albarnawi after the sect had pledged allegiance to Islamic State (IS).

Nigerian Army is yet to react to the latest video by Shekau who the Army had claimed to have killed on several occasions.
