Imo Pastor Stripped, Killed By Cultists In His Farm

A pastor, Friday Isinwa, has been killed by suspected cultists in Umuhuo, Ikwerrede-Awara community, Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State.

According to The Punch, Isinwa, a pastor with Seven Days Church of God, was stripped naked and killed after he went to his farm on Saturday.

The remains of the father of four were reportedly found on Monday, after a two-day search, which led to protests by community members demanding justice for his killing.

While the assailants remain at large and their motives remain unknown, two rival cult groups – Iceland and Deygbam –  were said to have engaged in a supremacy battle which community members believe led to the killing.

The Imo State Police Command has yet to respond to the pastor’s killing.
