The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refused to declare the All Progressive Grand Alliance candidate, Willie Obiano winner of the Anambra elections despite his winning the majority vote.

This was a result of the total numbers of cancelled votes being more than the difference between the numbers of votes cast for the winner and the runner up of this election according to the INEC official who read the results at 6 am this morning.

The PDP had 94,956 while the APC had 92,300.

The INEC official however said that there will be a supplementary election in the areas where election where canceled.
