Mr. Innocent Chukwuma, the embattled chairman of Innoson Motors who was arrested by the EFCC has withdrawn an Ex-Parte application against the anti-graft agency.

Also off the hook were the other defendants in the ex parte application filed. They included the Attorney General of the Federation, the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector-General of Police and Guaranty Trust Bank.

Innoson came before the court fingering GTB as the mastermind behind his arrest.

The matter was called up earlier today and to the surprise of many, Innoson’s lawyer, Prof. MacCarty Mbaduagha, said he had been instructed by his client to withdraw the ex parte application.

In view of this, the presiding judge, Justice Shagari, granted Mbaduagha’s prayer.

He said “In view of the application of the applicants’ counsel, the application is hereby granted,”
