The Christian Association of Nigeria, Lagos State, has defended the sacking of the Presiding Chaplain of the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Venerable Femi Taiwo.

CAN Chairman, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, in an interview with journalists, said Taiwo was hired by the Governing Council of the chapel, and that the body also reserved the rights to sack him.

He also said while the Christian body was investigating the incident, it believed the decision was in order.

In response to a question on the 24 hour ultimatum given to the Chaplain and the possible violation of the Tenancy law, the Bamgbola indicated that the incident is being handled by the appropriate authorities.
