The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has vowed to retaliate if Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore made good its threat to deploy 5,000 members of its vigilante group to protect herdsmen in the South-East geopolitical zone.

National President of the herders’ group, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo recently said that the group would soon roll out its own security outfit in response to the setting up of Amotekun in the South-West and Ebube Agu in the South-East.

He alleged that “both Amotekun and the new one from the South-East, Ebube Agu, are targeted against the Fulani”.

Bodejo noted that the proposed 5,000-man Miyetti Allah Vigilante would operate in every state of the federation.

However, IPOB warned against deploying the vigilante to the South-East, warning that it would deploy its own security outfit – Eastern Security Network (ESN) – to the North in response.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB described the utterances of leaders of Miyetti Allah as an insult to Ndigbo.

Powerful said that the lethargic attitude of South-East governors emboldened the Fulani herdsmen’s leaders to utter unguarded utterances.

“The Miyetti Allah and their terrorists group should know that they shouldn’t play God for ever. They are trying to provoke ESN and IPOB to take a drastic action. IPOB and ESN are running out of patience with their insults. They should retrace their steps now. Let them come, we are waiting for them. Soon they will see ESN in the North.

“Fulani terrorists are thinking that Biafraland is easy to penetrate the way they penetrated Hausa land and conquered them in 1804. If Miyetti Allah and their sponsors in Aso Rock attempt to do that in Biafra land what they did in Hausa land, they will regret their actions.

“ESN and IPOB are prepared for them. They can intimidate South East governors, but they can’t intimidate IPOB and ESN. No inch of Biafra land will be relinquished to Fulani jihadists,” the group warned.
