Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has revealed that she has no intention of marrying her partner, Nigerian music executive, Paulo Okoye, despite their steady relationship.
Ojo made this known during a recent interview on TVC, where she addressed the dynamics of their relationship. According to the actress, marriage is not part of their arrangement, and both parties are comfortable with the way things are.
She emphasized her preference for privacy and independence, which she believes would be compromised in a traditional marital setup.
“Because of the nature of my work, I’m such a workaholic, and Paulo is also a workaholic. That Igbo man likes to work,” she said. “For me, there are times when I want to be alone. I just pack my bags and return back to my house. We never fight over that because he understands. We don’t want marriage.”
The actress further noted that the freedom in their relationship allows them to thrive individually without unnecessary pressure or expectations.
The Herald recalls that Iyabo Ojo publicly confirmed her relationship with Paulo in December 2022, on the occasion of her 45th birthday.
