“Election no be war” – Ize-Iyamu concedes defeat as he congratulates PDP

Osagie Ize-Iyamu, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has conceded Defeat to his opponent, Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This is coming after Obaseki was declared Winner of the gubernatorial poll by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

Reacting to Obaseki’s Victory, Ize-Iyamu wrote “Edo people has decided, we thank you all!

“Congratulations to the opposition party! They have won! Election no be war. It’s time to work more harder for the next 4 years. Congratulations!”

It would be noted that Obaseki who was elected in 2016 under APC defected to PDP after he was disqualified from re-co testing due to intra-party feud.

Some attribute Obaseki’s disqualification to the speculated rift with his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole.
