2023 presidency: 2 million youths will force you to declare – Northern group tells Jonathan

A group, Jonathan Support Organisation, has given former President Goodluck Jonathan a seven-day ultimatum to declare his ambition to contest for the 2023 presidency.

The group of northern youths stated this in Kano on Saturday after a political rally in the state.

Coordinator, Mubashir Tafida, who addressed journalists on behalf of the group, said that Nigeria was presently sinking and required the assuring hands of an experienced leader of Jonathan’s stature to change the status quo.

According to Tafida, Nigerians are experiencing unprecedented poverty and hunger.

He explained that Jonathan tackled the challenges in his first sojourn as president of Nigeria between 2010 and 2015, noting that the challenges would be better handled by him this time around.

Tafida added that Jonathan must consider their request and declare for the 2023 presidency within seven days or two million youths would storm his office in Abuja to compel him to declare.
