There was some noticeable wear and tear on the cars that came to transport President Buhari from the airport when he arrived in the country following his trip to the USA to see Trump.
The car was devoid of the ‘shinyness’ of a new car and there were even a few scratches on the Mercedes Benz Maybach which transported the President.
This is because these cars are indeed not new and they belonged to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to NAN, President Buhari also slashed his salary by half in 2016. He was also reported to have shunned a move to expend N400 million on new cars for him. The money was to be used to buy five new armoured Mercedes Benz S-600 (V222) cars.
The President has been said to be a frugal man who tries to reduce the spending on himself and redirect it to other places. You can check out the photos of the car below
