JUST IN: Buhari Arrives Daura

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in his hometown, Daura in Katsina State.

Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad disclosed this in a tweet on Friday evening.

The visit is the president’s second to his hometown in as many months.

“President Muhammadu Buhari this evening arrived Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport, Katsina, on his way to Daura, his hometown.

“While in Daura, the President will participate in the APC membership registration exercise,” Ahmad said.

Buhari was last in Daura in December 2020, when embarked on a one-week private visit.

The president was on hand to receive the released Kankara schoolboys that had been kidnapped the day he arrived Katsina.

The Herald recalls that the December 2020 visit was the president’s only visit to his hometown in 2020, as the previous visit was in December 2019.
