JUST IN: Obiano’s deputy Nkem Okeke meets Buhari after decamping to APC

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja received Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Nkem Okeke, into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

APC Caretaker Committee Chairman and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma led Okeke to meet the president.

Until his defection to the ruling APC, Okeke was a member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

The Aso Villa visit by the Anambra deputy governor followed a similar one last week by his principal, Willie Obiano, and comes roughly a month to the November 9 gubernatorial election in the state.
