Few weeks to the Christmas celebration, Zenith bank PLC, in continuing with its tradition of Corporate Social Responsibility has light up the entire length of Ajose Adeogun street in Victoria Island (VI), Lagos state with an unbeatable array of brilliant, dazzling lights, and festive decor.
Ajose Adeogun street, the bank headquarters, is annually decorated with different shades of lighting, such as winged angels blowing trumpets, reindeers drawing a sledge set on rails, petal-shaped tall flowers, tall bells, and grand decorative spherical ornaments, among other pizzaz.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director, Peter Amangbo, on Saturday, November 16, described it as the best in the world, saying that the Zenith bank has done that consistently for the past Fourteen years.
Amangbo said: “It feels that it was just yesterday that we turned on the light for 2018 Christmas, here we are again to turn on the light in line with our usual convention of ushering in the events and activities that would mark the end of the year
First and foremost is for us to recognize the marvelous and incredible beauty and innovation that QUANTUM CAPITAL MARKET has displayed in what we have seen.
“This in indeed very marvelous and gorgeous, without turning on the light, we can appreciate the beauty of what has been done, the décor is intense, not only is it intense its elegant and magnificent, so its an indication of what we are expecting you to get as the year is running to a close,
“This is in line with their social investment of given back to the community of creating events that enables the community to appreciate the essence of living the essence of life and indeed the teem of this year decoration is “LET THERE BE LIGHT” and in a few moment from now we are going to see the light.
“So we would like to enjoin everyone as we brace to the end of the year for us to appreciate the goodness of God the mercies of God and hoping that God will keep every one of us alive to see the end of the year to celebrate the yuletide with our families in peace, in happiness, in love and also begin the new year gloriously and with such a very fundamental momentum that the new year would bring even greater happiness to us all.
“So indeed before we turn on the light its also important for us to recognize the fact that, Zenith has done this consistently for the past Fourteen (14) years so what we have endeavored to do this past fourteen years is to bring in beauty, release the beauty of Lagos for the world to see and the decoration you see here have been privileged to see decoration in a few places like L.A, New York, London but I haven’t seen any that compare to what zenith put forward every year.
“So we are going to on this light to the glory of the almighty God and to the joy celebration and happiness of lagos of Nigeria and of the whole global community.”
