The 15-year-old school girl from Ebonyi, who was stripped and beaten while being filmed by some men in the home of a man who claimed to be her father, has been ordered to be returned to the Ebonyi state government.

The order was given by the state Governor David Umahi barely a month after the incident occurred that shocked many.

This is in order for the state government to take over her rehabilitation and training.

According to The Vanguard, Uzoamaka was last week reported to have been adopted by a businesswoman, Ms Rita Nnenna Anoh.

Umahi said she must return within seven days or be declared wanted because she remained a property of state.

The man who inflicted such mental trauma on her, one Mr. Odi, has been slammed for his behavior and there are growing calls for his sack and a sense of surprise that he hasn’t been sacked and prosecuted. He was arrested but released on bail.

Governor Umahi, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Emma Anya said: “Government is asking that wherever she is, she should come back so that we can take over her training from secondary school to university level. We will also be able to rehabilitate her.”
