Kaduna Man Protests Against Bandits On Monday, Gets Shot On Wednesday, Dies On Sunday

A resident of Kaduna State, Abdulhamid Aliyu, has died from gunshot wounds he sustained from bandits on Wednesday, two days after he participated in a protest against bandits.

The Birnin Gwari indigene died on Sunday, according to senator representing Kaduna Central, Sen. Shehu Sani.

The senator disclosed this in a tweet.

According to Sani, the young man had participated in a protest against banditry on Monday.

Sani decried “failure of leadership” that has rendered the state a haven of bandits.

He also prayed for the repose of the victim’s soul.

The senator wrote: “Tragedy of Banditry and failure of leadership; Abdulhamid Aliyu hails from Birnin Gwari,Kaduna state.

“He protested against Banditry on monday, he was shot by bandits on Wednesday, he died today on Sunday. May his soul Rest In Peace.”
