The Director of Media and Publicity of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s Governorship Campaign Organisation in Kaduna, Mr. Ben Bako, has been arrested by security operatives in the state.

His political associates informed that Mr. Bako, a former Commissioner for Information in the state, was arrested on Saturday around 6pm.

They could not ascertain the reasons for his arrest.

Reasons for his arrest was not known but his arrest cannot be far from the comment he was said to have made at a campaign rally in Southern Kaduna.

The Deputy Director of Publicity for Isa Ashiru campaign organisation, Malam Yakubu Lere, who confirmed his arrest in a telephone conversation said that the Department of State Security (DSS) invited Bako, who went in company of his lawyer to their office.

“He was invited by the DSS for questioning and he went with his lawyer around 6pm on Saturday.

“Later they returned in two vehicles and whisked him away to Abuja.

“As we speak, he is still with them and we are going to make our position known later,” he said.
