Buhari Meets Masari, Assures Of More Efforts To Improve Security – Channels  Television

The Governor of Katsina state, Bello Masari, has confirmed that the whereabouts of the abducted school students of the Government Secondary School, Kankara, are been kept, has been discovered.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President, Garba Shehu, confirmed this in a statement on Monday.

Shehu quoted the words of the Governor who disclosed this himself when he visited President Muhammadu Buhari in his hometown in Daura, Katsina state.

The statement also revealed that Masari has been contacted by the abductors.

“The Governor, who was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of the state, Manir Yakubu, said the kidnappers had made contact and discussions were already on pertaining to safety and return to their homes,” the statement read.

Governor Masari informed the President that plans were in motion to rescue the school boys unharmed.

“We are making progress and the outlook is positive,” Masari disclosed to the media after his 2 pm meeting with President Buhari.

According to Masari, the President was very concerned and expressed his willingness in assisting to return the schoolboys back to their parents.
