Kano State Government Reacts To Viral Photo Of Governor Strapped In Seat Belt

The Kano state government through the Director General, Media and Communications at the state government house, Salihu Tanko Yakasi, has reacted to the viral photo of the state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who was reportedly “wrongly” strapped in on a private jet.

Recall that the photo started making rounds after the governors, seven in number visited the Nigerian president in London.

Nigerians on social media had mocked the state governor for ‘wrongly’ wearing the seat belt.

In reaction to the viral photo making rounds online, the state government noted that the state governor was in fact wearing the belt correctly adding that some private jets have their seat belts constructed like a car’s.

The statement by the state government was posted on its social media page.

The message shared by Tanko in Hausa reads: “Ga wadanda ba su taba hawa Private Jet ba, bari na dan wayar muku da kai. Shi seatbelt din mafi yawancin sa ba irin na sauran jiragen passenger bane irin su Azman da Arik, shi seatbelt din sa irin na mota ne kamar yadda kuke gani a hotonun nan. Muna fatan Allah Ya bawa kowa ikon hawa private jet ko sau daya ne ko Allah zai sa kan wasu ya waye. Amin!”.
