Kanye West Loses 9 Million Followers Over Single Trump Tweet

Kanye West has always been a controversial figure and this has rubbed many the wrong way. The rapper recently became more active on Twitter, talking about a myriad of topics and things.

One of his recent Tweets, however, received the ire of fans and haters alike and led him to lose around 9 million of his followers in no time at all.

Many fans who defend Kanye say he’s misunderstood, but even they will find some difficulty in explaining this away.

The rapper tweeted a picture of a hat with the slogan “Make America Great Again” which is the slogan President Trump has always gone with. In his Tweet, he captioned it: “my MAGA hat is signed”.

He then followed this with a couple of fire emojis.

Kanye also tweeted this in alleged support to Trump; “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”

While the tweet got Trump’s endorsement and approval, it didn’t seem to get everyone else’s. Trump in response to the tweet, said; “Thank you Kanye, very cool!”

On the other hand, Kanye who used to have 27.8 million followers, suddenly had just 18.6 million followers.

He later tweeted;  “my wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don’t agree with everything Trump does. I don’t agree 100% with anyone but myself.”

Kanye has so far not spoken about the loss of followers or what this all means.
