Katsina Abduction: Protesters Demand Release Of School Boys

Protests broke out today (Sunday) in Katsina following the abduction of a number of school students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Kankara Local Government (L.G.A).

The protest was staged close to the school building, with the protesters bearing various placards and cardboards. The protesters charged the authorities to ensure the quick release of the school boys.

The Herald Nigeria gathered that the  leader of the protest is a mother to one of the abducted schoolboys.

In a related development, the Coalition of Northern Groups has warned that it will rally youths in protest if the schoolboys are not rescued.

This ultimatum was issued by the Group’s Chairman of the North-West Zone, Jamiu Aliyu through a press release.

Aliyu strongly spoke against the abduction and called on the government to bring the culprits to book.

He stressed that the Group was willing to mount pressure until the school boys were released from their captors.
