20 Katsina Kidnap Victims sold to Slave Merchants in Burkina Faso

About 20 Kidnap Victims from Katsina state have been sold into slavery in Burkina Faso.

According to newsmen, the victims who were kidnapped from the Kankara Local  Government Area of Katsina state, were taken to a certain woman in Cotonou who served as a middleman between the main Slave Merchants and the slaves-to-be.

The Cotonou woman was  the one who sold the Kidnap victims to some slave Merchants in Burkina Faso.

Governor Aminu Masaru Bello of Katsina state has made commendable efforts to reduce the Kidnap rate in the state. It has been reported that the Governor has visited the hideout of the bandits to initiate peace talks. He even began the swap deal where bandits in custody were exchanged for the innocent lives kidnapped.

Insiders reveal that Governor Bello has traced about 20 Kidnap Victims to Burkina Faso and he is presently making plans to rescue them from their captors.

According to a credible source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Alhaji Hamza Brodo who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Drugs, Narcotics and Trafficking is already in Burkina Faso and he is currently negotiating the release of the Katsina indigenous who have become victims of modern day slavery.

When newsmen reached out to Alhaji Brodo, he confirmed the incident saying

“Yes I will be travelling to Burkina Faso this weekend.
“I will only get to know if the 20 victims were indigenes of Katsina after meeting them and their captors”
