Nigerian Afrobeats star Kcee has opened up about his past romantic relationship with Nollywood actress Ebube Nwagbo, revealing they were once on the verge of marriage.
Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast hosted by Temisan Emmanuel, the “Limpopo” crooner reflected on the time when his love life dominated headlines, especially before the rise of social media.
“My scandals were before social media became rampant. I was just a young boy dating one actress. Me and actresses were always headlining the papers. I love actresses back then — who wouldn’t?” he said.
Kcee didn’t hold back from naming Ebube Nwagbo as one of his high-profile exes. “Our relationship was everywhere. Ebube Nwagbo. We were always on the front covers of newspapers. And we usually sat on the front row of every red carpet show. We were close to getting married. Whatever that happened, happened.”
The revelation brings renewed attention to a relationship that was once the subject of much speculation in the Nigerian entertainment space. Kcee, whose real name is Kingsley Okonkwo, has been married to Ijeoma Okonkwo since 2010, and the couple shares two children.
Meanwhile, actress Ebube Nwagbo remains single and has also made headlines over the years for her rumored ties with public figures including Ogbonna Nwankwo, footballer Emmanuel Emenike, and actor Ray Emordi.
