Big Brother Naija reality show housemates, Khafi and Gedoni, have officially gotten married, The Herald can confirm.
The newly weds, who were initially engaged, got married yesterday, Saturday, 27th of Decemeber, 2020.
The BBNaija couple were initially due to tie the knot, on April 4, but the wedding was called off due to the Coronavirus enforced lockdown.
An elated Khafi took to Instagram to share photos from her wedding.
The couple announced that they will be celebrating the event properly, next year.
“On this day last year I woke up engaged to the love of my life,” Khafi wrote on her Instagram page.

“The worst thing happened this year but through the tears and sorrow the best also happened too, and that is signing on the dotted line to spending the rest of my life with you. We couldn’t celebrate this year (next year loading!) but genuinely, I celebrate and thank God every day for you @Gedoni. Cheers to married life #MrsEkpataLoaded,” she stated.
Gedoni, in turn, lamented how his spouse lost her brother, coupled with the effect of the global pandemic.
He declared his undying love for Khafi by stating “I’ll love you forever”.
“A year ago she said “YES” and some months later she said “YES” again, this time to FOREVER,” he wrote on his Instagram account.
“It’s not been an easy year especially for you. You lost your(our) brother and Covid19 happened. Amidst all these heaviness and heartbreaks you still love and LOVE DEEPLY. I don’t take you for granted IYAWO MI @acupofkhafi and I’ll love you forever.,” he said.
Cose to a year ago, Big Brother Naija star, Gedoni Ekpata was announced as the Special Assistant on Garment Factory and Branding to the Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade.
Spouse and fellow housemate, Khafi, is an official of the Met Police, in the United Kingdom.
