Kidnapped Police Area Commander Rescued

The Police have rescued Musa Rabo, the Assistant Commissioner of Police from the den of Kidnappers.

Earlier we reported the abduction of Musa Rabo, the  Suleja Area Commander, Niger state by unknown gunmen, The Police have secured his rescue.

Musa Rabo was travelling alone in his private car along Barde-Jos road when he was abducted  on Saturday with the Kidnappers making a demand of N50 million as ransom.

However, Rabo has been rescued totally unhurt  with assistance from other Police Operatives from Niger, Kaduna, Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja and members of the elite Police Special forces.

According to The Punch, DCP Frank Mba, has disclosed that two prime suspects were in custody, ready to be interrogated. He also said the case would be investigated thoroughly.

Frank Mba also said the abduction of Rabo, ACP was an opportunistic crime as Rabo was kidnapped in his mufti, without giving any impression that he was a Cop.

He said, “Rabo was traveling in his civil dress in his private car and without escort or any security at the time of the incident. He was not targeted as a cop, it was purely an opportunistic crime maliciously targeted at citizens using that particular road.”
