Kogi Governor to Probe past administration

After his victory at the Supreme Court, Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello has disclosed that his administration is ready to probe the mismanagement of government fund in the state since 2003.

Governor Yahya said a commission of inquiry would be set up to help recover the looted funds from the government coffer.

During the Nigeria’s 56th Independence Anniversary address by the Governor on Saturday witnessed by large crowd of kogites, Mr. Yahya stated that although the times are challenging but assured that Nigeria will triumph.

Leadership reported Governor Yahya Bello as saying that despite turbulent experiences the country has undergone, Nigeria remains indivisible as a result of resilient spirit of the citizens.

“This past 56 years has been very challenging no doubt, but there have also been years in which the Nigerian spirit have proved how indomitable and resilient we are in keeping the country as one.”

The governor who acknowledged that Nigeria was able to achieve sovereignty as a result of the patriotic quest of our past national leaders charged every Nigerian to support government policies at all levels in order to take the country to an enviable height.
