A protest took place in Kwara state, where some residents stated their displeasure with the political influence of the Senate president, Bukola Saraki.
The protesters said they were tired of being politically imprisoned by the Senate president.
Saraki was a governor of the state for eight years before moving to the Senate where he is the current president and chairman of the National Assembly.
It is believed that Saraki made Abdulfatah Ahmed the current governor of the state and has continued to wield strong influence.
Online news agency, Sahara Reporters, posted the video of the protesting residents, mostly made up of women and youth wielding placards with various inscriptions.
