One year after surviving a gruesome incident with kidnappers in Lagos, A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to share the harrowing experience and what ultimately helped her regain her freedom.

The victim whose username on the platform is @Am_sexyslim revealed that she had left her home one morning around 4:40 am to beat traffic and avoid being late for an exam. But unknowingly to her, she boarded a car whose occupants were kidnappers.

Having plugged in her earpiece, she hardly paid attention to their conversations until one of the kidnappers grabbed her by the neck and made attempts to strangle her.

She was then robbed of her belongings as well as monies in her bank account. But their plans to rape her became unsuccessful after they realized she was on her period at the time.
