Justice Hannatu Balogun of a Federal High Court, Kaduna, on Tuesday ordered the remand of a Businessman, Mr Titus Ezekiel, for alleged breach of trust.

Justice Balogun, who gave the order, adjourned the matter until Oct. 22 to hear the defendant’s application for bail.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission had arraigned the defendant on a charge of breach of trust.

EFCC’s counsel, Mr P. C. Onyeneho, told the court that one Thomas Daniel entrusted some original land documents to the defendant for safe keeping on his behalf.

Onyeneho said the defendant used the said documents to secure a personal loan of N5 million without the consent of the owner.

The counsel said that the defendant could not give any satisfactory answer when the owner demanded for the documents.

Onyeneho said the alleged offence contravened the provision of Section 231 of the Kaduna State Penal Code, Law, 2017. (NAN)
