Lagos Police Officer Slumps, Dies Suddenly On His Way To Work

A police inspector, Amiel Dilli, has died after he slumped on his way to work at Abule-Ado bus stop on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway in the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

According to The Punch, policeman was attached to the Trade Fair Complex Division of the force before his sudden demise on Tuesday, March 5.

The paper quoted a witness, who knew Dilli, as saying, “The inspector was close to me. He complained of general body weakness and I advised him to go for a test. What he told me was that the situation was not that serious and that he would manage until he was strong again.

“I was surprised when I saw his lifeless body near the Oando filling station at the Abule-Ado bus stop along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway when I was going to work. The police responded promptly by evacuating his corpse to their station.”

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police, CSP Chike Oti confirmed the policeman’s death.
